Category 5 cabling was originally specified with two-pair networks in mind (10BASE-T and 100BASE-Tx, for example). Emerging fourpair technologies, such as Gigabit Ethernet, will put a strain on Category 5 cabling that it was never designed to handle. Enhanced Category 5 performance ensures your cabling system?s ability to support  igabit Ethernet even when you choose to implement demanding, four-connector topologies such as zone distribution.
